Welcome to SparkPeople! I hope you will find the tools and support you need here to reach your goals. I am definitely an emotional eater who is prone to snacking too. So far I have been able to lose 24 pounds by sticking to my calorie range and getting exercise 4-5 times a week. I suggest setting a goal to make exercise less boring - like signing up to walk a 5K in the Spring. I also used a personal trainer once a week for about 6-8 weeks when I was just starting out. That helped me get into a routine. Good luck and keep logging in!
If you ever need anything at all, just drop me a line. i know exactly what you mean by "it just feeling right". I have been dieting for literally 3/4 my lifetime... and I am only 25. It's sad to think I have waisted that much of my life hating my body. I am up for the challenge now!
