    Happy Sunday. Hope you're summer is going great. Are you still on track to do all you can today to reach your goals tomorrow? If so, great! If not, what can you change today that will help you feel accomplished? One little thing. Drink more water? Cut out soda? Go for a walk? Small changes add up.

    NaNoWriMo is an annual event that takes place in November. It stands for National Novel Writing Month. The goal is to write 50,000 words towards a novel during November. I've participated for the last three years and love the event. It was starting in early October that my brain shifted from focus on weight loss, where it had been all year in 2011, to the manuscript I worked on, and I obsessed over that manuscript for over four months. During that time, despite eating well and exercising the same amount, my weight loss dropped and I got really severe insomnia for four months. I'm not sure why those things coincided. I think that when I'm more focused on weight loss, it's always in my mind, and I end up doing things even better than I think I do, whereas it's the opposite when my brain is focused on writing. I don't know. Either way, I'm tired of the scale not moving. I've hardly gone anywhere since September!
