Be more fit to have more energy for everyday life. Cute clothes would be a nice bonus.
3-12-12: Doing circuit training workouts on Jillian Michael's website. Monitoring my calories to follow Spark People/JM recommendations. Eventually I'd like to work toward following proper food combining.
My family and I moved up to North Dakota in 2008 to work on the family farm. We left behind friends, family, and a steady paycheck in Iowa to jump into the more relaxed pace and general beauty of farm life. It's been a leap of faith and so far we haven't looked back.
I love, "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint- Exupery. That book seems so relevant to me.
Thank you so much for your comments on my blog! What great advice. I haven't watched The Biggest Loser for a couple of seasons...I think I'll have to catch up on those. They are inspiring! Thank you for your support and for believing in me. I don't know what I would do without you :) Have a fantastic day!!
NaNoWriMo is an annual event that takes place in November. It stands for National Novel Writing Month. The goal is to write 50,000 words towards a novel during November. I've participated for the last three years and love the event. It was starting in early October that my brain shifted from focus on weight loss, where it had been all year in 2011, to the manuscript I worked on, and I obsessed over that manuscript for over four months. During that time, despite eating well and exercising the same amount, my weight loss dropped and I got really severe insomnia for four months. I'm not sure why those things coincided. I think that when I'm more focused on weight loss, it's always in my mind, and I end up doing things even better than I think I do, whereas it's the opposite when my brain is focused on writing. I don't know. Either way, I'm tired of the scale not moving. I've hardly gone anywhere since September!
I know I'm a couple days early, but I may not have time to post on the weekend, so...
~~ If only for today: smile a little more, sing a bit off key, laugh loudly and long, dance, skip, jump, play. Eat with your hands, hug every kind soul that crosses your path. Finger-paint, face-paint, body-paint. Do something brave. Squash a fear. Get out of your shell. Wear something sparkly. Be wild, be strong, be silly. For being foolish can make you happy but being happy will never make you a fool. ~~ Michelle

Hi Jen! I meant to re-add you the other day when I saw you were back and then somehow I didn't get over here in time. I apologize for the drop. My Sparkpage got SUPER big in January, and I had over 300 people add me. I got all freaked out and almost quit Spark altogether, and eventually just dropped everyone who was inactive or who I didn't really know. Been adding people back slowly as I get to know them, and no where near that many! I'm glad to see you back. :)
