Beginning to head in the RIGHT direction

Since I was young, I've always had to work really hard to stay thin. Every few years my baseline weight would increase. I gave up in late 2007 and now weigh more than I ever thought I could or would. Currently I fluctuate between 245-265 lbs. So I want to change that. I NEED to change that.

I want to be thin again. I want to be able to go for a run and actually ENJOY it. I want to feel comfortable around people again. I am tired of being treated differently because of my extra weight. I believe it is holding me back in almost every area of my life. And that hurts sometimes. I know it will be a long hard road, but I think Spark People will be a great help.

My best weight as an adult was 168 lbs, which was the lightest I could ever get while serving in the military 1993-1996. For now, however, I think 180 lbs would suit me just fine, so long as the extra weight was mostly muscle.

Please talk to your doctor and get a sleep study done. Sleep apnea can be so destructive. Without energy, how can you put forth the effort to make changes in your life? Getting a CPAP machine greatly changed my life. I still have to make the proper efforts and decisions, but I now have the energy to care!

Good luck to you, you can do anything that you want enough.
