Finding My Motivation Every Day

I have been overweight for too many years. Too many times I have tried to lose without success.

Now, my focus isn't on losing weight. If I do along the way, it's a lovely side effect.

My focus is on becoming more active and getting healthier.

This is reflected in the goals I am setting for myself and in the work I am doing on SP.

My Goals:
Beginning 5 January, 2010:

Participate in the Run for Life to raise money for breast cancer research on 6th June 2010. - done!

1. I will walk a minimum of 15 minutes each day for 12 weeks, tracking total distance walked.

2. I will walk the distance from Land's End to John O' Groats.

Total: 910 miles/1465 km

My focus is on eating healthy, not on losing weight.

Becoming more active, not on "exercising"

Walking 5 days a week -



Personal Information:
I live outside of Greater London in the UK.

I have a husband, 2 children, and a dog at home and 1 son who is grown and lives in his own place.

I am actively involved in my children's education and have served on the school board of governors since 2007. In September 2009 I was elected Chair of Governors.





Other Information:
Exercise program;

walking every day

Number 1 son has loaned me his Wii and Wii Fit and I am using that now.

Hey lady! Thanks so much for dropping by to leave a comment ( and for reminding me to log in to SP today! ) In answer to yoru question, I am doing much better today. Had time in between writing work to call and reschedule the weight clinic and was pleased that they are having another one on Friday - so I am planning being there with bells on! Today, I am more focused and trying to be in tune with my body as far as when I start to feel hungry and making sure to put something healthy in my mouth. Am also trying to remember to drink lots of water and get up out of my chair often to stretch and walk around my apartment.

How are you doing today? I hope this day is bringing you new strength and inspiration.
