Snowshoeing with Erika
My treasured beach glass tree
Daughter, son, and their spouses
I'm a 60 something granny of 5 living in the Snow Belt of NE Ohio. I have always dreaded winter, but "fate" has decreed that I live in this area, SOOO....... I am trying to embrace our 5 plus months of cold weather by taking up hiking, snowshoeing, and other outdoor activities!
Lose weight and increase fitness level to be able to keep up with my 5 adorable GKs ages 9 through 7 months.
Tai Chi exercise, horseback riding lessons, hiking in our local metroparks, walking the lovely shores of Lake Erie, walking with my mini Schnauzer, Roxi, strength machines. As the weather improves, kayaking, yoga on the beach!
Signed up for my first SP challenge: 5% Summer Challenge! Revving up and ready to get started!
Signed up for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Cycle for Life on Sept. 21. I'm not a cyclist, so I'll be adding this to my fitness program!

Dropping by to say hi and wish you a great weekend ahead, also want to cheer you on your journey... keep up the great work, you are doing a good job!
Hope you enjoy the following poem..
The Power of Friends
Everyone knows of the power of friends,
The terrific result, when everything blends.
When people have friends, they don’t stand alone;
Friends always help, when you face the unknown.
Friends give you courage to face problems untold,
So the love of a friend can help make you bold.
They can help you to live a much richer life,
So your every day living will be less filled with strife.
Thanks for being my friend!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I envy you challenging the weather with outdoor activities. I would just as soon hibernate until the first signs of spring. We get to Ohio about twice a year to visit family. DH calls our relatives the 'flatlanders'. He says it affectionately, of course.
Have a great 'outside' day!

It sounds like we have a common bond... as I am a natural born klutz; however like you I do not let my klutziness prevent me from trying new things... I'm sure I bring much amusement to those people who have to witness my attempts!!! Isn't it great to know we have the power to bring joy to others??
Have a great day!!!
