Definition of change:
The act, process, or result of altering or modifying: a change in facial expression.
The replacing of one thing for another; substitution: a change of atmosphere; a change of ownership.
A transformation or transition from one state, condition, or phase to another: the change of seasons.
Something different

I have realized for quite sometime that change is what I want to become. I want to become better really with progress. With progress comes improvements and new possibilities, new in site on life and self. The time is not tomorrow or next week, or to start fresh on Mondays - The time is NOW.

For the last while now although change has been been very slow, I grown to appreciate the consistency in my life, in my routine - but not so easily transformable in my diet. So there needs to be greater effort in this area for change and transformation to take place. I mean what is the point of working so hard and getting the blood pumped through my body if what my body is absorbing from food is less than pure. I have switched to about 80% of our fresh fruits and vegetables to organic and have done the same with out breads, pastas and rice. Now I have to stop giving it the processed treats and empty calories from candy and sugar.

Sugar increase the aging processes but it also inhibits your immune system from doing its job for up to 5 hours. Just a small amount can really put a strain on our bodies.

I want the change for myself so I can see stronger and leaner muscles. I can energy without reaching for any stimulants, so I can have the ability to grow. Feeding the mind with the wealth of fitness and nutrition is endless. I want to be that bottomless pit that wants to learn all it can.

From studying my books, to studying the way food, minerals and vitamins helps my body to grow, help my mind absorb the information and truly enhance my life and the life of others. This is not a new year's resolution, this is about the here and now. The present. This is about my future, my life, my will to succeed and excel in all that I do.

My Program:
I am currently trying to maintain my current weight by toning and lowering my body fat.

I do strength training 4 days a week and 4-5 moderate cardio session of 25- 30 minutes.

Keeping track of my food intake is what has helped me along. Visually seeing where my calories are coming from such as fat, protein and carbs has taught me a lot.

Personal Information:
I live in the GTA area with my beautiful family. I have been married for 10 years and am enjoying the benefits of being a Master Personal Trainer at a near by gym. i am blessed to share my life ad isdom to others and helping them achieve their goals, reach their highest potential and fueling their bodies and minds.

Yes! This is the issue that continues to come back - doesn't matter how awesome your work outs are if you're eating isn't on point. For me that means staying at 1550 cal/day or less and making it as healthy as possible. I've never done the clean eating thing, but it's always intrigued me - it just seems so hard? Am I crazy?

Hey! That's perfect - I have 18 days left until I leave for vacation (that was my initial challenge "end" date, too, although after I get back I'm going to keep working on it and maintaining the work I did) so I will blog with you until then! I weighed myself this morning and I have 1.5lb left until I reach my first 5 lb goal (I started probably 5 weeks ago - you are SO right, the last 5 lbs is SO tough!!!) and I'd like to lose maybe 2-3 lbs more after that (so basically 5 lbs total) to get me to my perfect weight. Then I REALLY want to focus on the maintenance aspect and learn how to STAY put! emoticon I would love to have a buddy! It's so much more fun that way!
