Hello Old Friends!! Hello New Friends!!
Well, here we are again... Nine years later and at my heaviest weight in recorded history. And with some health issues looming (that pesky cholesterol). It's basically, drop the weight or take the meds. Well, my signature says that I'm "making the BETTER choice," so I am choosing what is better... dropping the weight.
This time, I have the help of a nutritionist, and because she has asked me to start counting calories & numbers, I naturally came back to SP to do that. So here am I. But all she can do is make suggestions. I gotta do the work!
I'm not sure if I'm gonna join (or slip back into) any teams... I will track and log here. I will probably blog here, as she also wants me to journal (which I am having a hard time finding something to journal about. Can you even believe that??). But going back and reading some of my old blogs is motivating me to give this ole SP thing a whirl again.
So let's give this a go, shall we?!!?
I started 2007 as Grancy, weighing in at 223 lbs. I earned my 50 lbs lost badge in the summer of 2009). That is but a distant memory, as those 50 lbs have become 60 to lose (just to that point!) It cracks me up that my first goal is 1 lb more than my original starting weight! (Uh, cracks me up in a not-so-good way...)

Father God, you knit me together in my mother's womb, and I thank you for this body. I'm sorry I haven't taken better care of this precious gift. You've given me a strong and healthy body, whole and free from disease. I have taken it for granted and haven't been a good steward of this gift. I have gotten lazy and complacent and have let my taste buds decide what I eat. Lord, I pray you forgive me for squandering that which you gave me. I pray now that you will guide me on my quest to preserve whatever is left. Help me to consider what I eat before I even put it on a plate. Help me to regain the muscle tone you designed me to have. Help me to know that I was fearfully and wonderfully made and to honour and respect my body as the cherished object that it is. Oh Lord, I treat mere possessions better than I treat myself. Forgive me Lord, and help me to physically be the creation you made me to be. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

I am now exploring the Clean Eating thing, as well as the low-cholesterol thing. It only sucks when I think about it. Haha
I am a part-time church secretary (helping the people who help people) and a Granny to 2 amazing little people. I'm a California girl, living in BC. I've gradually worked my way up the west coast. One more move & I think I'll be in the ocean! I'm a part-time full-time granny, caring for my g'kids most school days, while their single-daddy works at a golf course.

Hi! Please check out my blog regarding my 6 month plan, as I have pics of te devos I plan on doing. I also like the First Place 4 Health by Carole Lewis. I am reading a year devotional by Carole Lewis and reading Weight Loss Scriptures. Wgeb I am done with that book, I will move on to another daily devo with my year one. I am finding that reading and journaling on these devotionals is really leading me in the right direction: keeping my eyes on the Lord. I like the team challenges to support the healthy changes I am making. Hope this helps. please ask me anything.

Well, sort of stranger. :) I mean, we are friends on Facebook after all. ;)
Anywho, I am making an attempt to get back in the swing of things health-wise and decided to try out SparkPeople one more time. I was going through comments on my Spark page and saw a bunch from you, which brought lots of smiles to my face.
