Fabulous, Fit & Fifty

I turned 50 on October 31, 2013.
I desperately want to be Fabulous, Fit & Fifty.
Well, I am already Fabulous (LOL); and I can't help but be 50... I was once fit (4 yrs ago!), and boy, I would really like to be again!!

This will be my 8th year on SparkPeople. January 20 is my 7 year Sparkaversary. I'm pretty much back where I started, 7 yrs ago...

I started 2007 as Grancy, weighing in at 223 lbs. I earned my 50 lbs lost badge in the summer of 2009), but ...
I turned 50 on October 31, 2013.
I desperately want to be Fabulous, Fit & Fifty.

Father God, you knit me together in my mother's womb, and I thank you for this body. I'm sorry I haven't taken better care of this precious gift. You've given me a strong and healthy body, whole and free from disease. I have taken it for granted and haven't been a good steward of this gift. I have gotten lazy and complacent and have let my taste buds decide what I eat. Lord, I pray you forgive me for squandering that which you gave me. I pray now that you will guide me on my quest to preserve whatever is left. Help me to consider what I eat before I even put it on a plate. Help me to regain the muscle tone you designed me to have. Help me to know that I was fearfully and wonderfully made and to honour and respect my body as the cherished object that it is. Oh Lord, I treat mere possessions better than I treat myself. Forgive me Lord, and help me to physically be the creation you made me to be. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

I am a part-time church secretary (helping the people who help people) and a Granny to 2 amazing little people. I'm a California girl, living in BC. I've gradually worked my way up the west coast. One more move & I think I'll be in the ocean! I'm a part-time full-time granny, caring for my g'kids weekends & whenever their single daddy is working before or after daycare hours.

Hi Nancy! Thank you for the comment on my blog. You are so lucky to have such an understanding boss! I wish my work were more like that. Ever since my baby got sick they haven’t been understanding anymore. So tired of it!

Anyways – I’m starting a c25k next week. My personal trainer put one together for me. I’m excited. I also use Runkeeper. I do that every time I go for my walk on lunch. We have a pier here in Hudson where from my work door to the end of the pier and back is just about 1.5 miles. Usually takes me 25 minutes. Great work out.

For the Android – I know you can download your iTunes to it but I forgot how. I believe you go to Google Play music on your desk top computer and you can upload your iTunes library to that. When I found that information I just Google’d something like “how do I get my iTunes music on my android phone”. I have a Galaxy S3 and I purchased the Google Play monthly pass for $8/mth. It’s awesome. You can get any song you want and it saves it to your play list until you cancel. Plus there is radio. For instance in Radio if you search Rhianna they will start Rhianna Radio and on that list is a bunch of artists similar to her. It’s pretty cool
