Second time's a charm, right?

Hi I'm Nancie. A couple of years ago I dropped 45 lbs on SP under the username CashlessNCR. For a lot of not really good reasons, I stopped doing the things that helped keep me on track with weight management. After more false starts than I can remember, I began again in February 2013. It was a new chapter, with new challenges,& new goals.

It was a new chapter, with new challenges,& new goals.

Now that I've achieved the weight goal I set out for myself, I'm thinking pretty intently about how to sustain this loss. Running and strength training with my own body weight have become a big part of this, because its exercise I can do any time, any where. I'm also thinking a lot more critically about what I eat, experimenting more with clean, healthy food.

Losing this weight twice has been enough. I'm going to maintain this so that the title of this page doesn't have to be "Third time's a charm".

My Goals:
Lose 40 lbs by the end of October, 2013. (completed in early November 2013).

Maintain that loss & my healthier habits.

Find at least 10 minutes each day to be active.

Be able to run 5k by the end of June 2014(I don't have to be fast, I just want to do it.)



My Program:
Include fruits/veggies at least 2 meals per day

Eat a protein-rich breakfast

Water- 8-10 glasses/day

Bring my lunch to work
Eat the lunch that I bring

Use Nike+ to monitor walking/runing - go a little further or a little faster each workout.

Circuit training on the days I don't run.

Love my son.
Passionate about my work.

You have obviously discovered the "secret" to weight loss: declare yourself at maintenance!

This made me smile this morning, which is a great thing for not just Monday, but surgery Monday!

What is this "puny"? Are you shrinking away to nothing? Around here, puny means "tiny" --- and "punky" means "not so good". Hope that you're just feeling "tiny" (and fabulous) and not "not so good"....
