The Journey Has Begun
I started on this journey to getting healthier two weeks before I found SparkPeople.com and I did well, but I wanted to be able to track my food when not at home, on my Droid X phone. The plan I started on was similar and worked on my iPod, but not on my Android. I like the SparkPeople, made changes to the amount of calories per day and percentage of protein, carbs & fat as well as fiber. I plan on following this journey as long as possible. I like the SparkPeople, made changes to the amount of calories per day and percentage of protein, carbs & fat as well as fiber. I plan on following this journey as long as possible. I've said forever in the past, but now I'm just taking one day at a time. I've got a long way to go, so one day, this day, is all that matters. To heck with Prednisone, it's a tiny pill that can't defeat me!

My Goals:
My goals are to get healthier by eating better foods, trying to move the bod as much as possible without causing injury and to take one day at a time and to not really look at the end, because that would be too overwhelming.
My Program:
I am tracking my food each day. I started 2 weeks before I found this site, lost 7 lbs. the first week of mostly water as I was bloated. The 2nd week I lost 2 lbs. If I could average 2 lbs. a week, I'd be thrilled. I don't want to be overwhelmed that I become afraid that I won't succeed. I have to redefine success each day perhaps. We'll see what happens.
Personal Information:
Long, long time ago, I was an RN, but when 27 I had a stroke and multiple other health problems. My girls were little and it was difficult on them as it was on my husband. Now, I'm on disability due to Lupus and a few other autoimmune disorders which cause pain and stuff you don't need to know. When I weighed 130 lbs. I thought I was fat. Wow, how I wish I was that fat again. LOL. Now, I'm a grandma with 2 beautiful grandbabies and that is just wonderful! Frankly, I didn't think I'd live to see this day, so it's time I get in shape so I can be alive and happy as they grow up!
Other Information:
Good, better, best. Never let them rest. Until your good is better and your better, best.
