The cleaning lady at my library taught me an invaluable lesson almost 20 years ago!
She taught me how to shrug things off. I would watch her and every so often she would shrug her shoulders. One day she did it after speaking with me so I called her back. Seems whenever she didn't agree with something going on she would shrug her shoulders and then keep doing her work.
Well that day I asked her what was wrong and we discussed it and her opinion was not policy and I couldn't break policy. But from that day forward I learned to shrug things off and she learned to tell me her ideas. Whenever possible I did use them.
We still adore each other though we haven't worked together for better than 12 years now.
I don't know if you believe in God, but prayer does help. And so does shrugging.
One day at a time works in the real world as much as here in Spark Land.
Thank you for adding me as a friend! I am honored and feel privileged to be able to add you to my friends as well.
This will not be a quick journey my new friend, but it will be a very rewarding one! You will find many forks in the road and you will falter - but I will be here to pick you up and help you back on track!
