Feeling good at 54 years old.

I am a mother of 5 and grandmother of 2, fixing to be a grandma again in Dececmber. I became a diabetic in 2011 and at the time i was weighing 210 pounds, i now weigh 162, but i seem to be having to get the resst of it off. I hope with this program it will help get to my goal weight. Nancy Kraus Howard, i have know since college. She inspired me to do this. When she told me about herself. I love you Nancey and i hope with your help and the others in this program you guys can help me

I was so glad to see your friend request! My name is Patricia, but a lot of folks call me PJ (last name starts with J). Spark is a great site! I am especially enamored with the food tracker and recipe calculators. These help me understand what I am eating-not just calories, but also nutritional balance-carbs, fats, protein and important minerals. Look forward to sparking along with you on your journey!!

Thanks for your kind words...my job here at SparkPeople is to help all our members reach their goals, but unfortunately I do not have the time or resources to help each member reach his/her goal. My suggestion would be to become active on the site---using the nutrition tracker and posting on the message board and connecting with others. I wish you all the best.
