Back on track

I've tried everything from low carb to Hcg and although I may have lost weight, it never lasted. The only time any weight loss has lasted for me was watching what I ate and exercising on a somewhat regular basis. I had lost 40 lbs and was able to at least maintain that loss for 2 yrs, but then after a series of stressful events I gained most of that back and began looking for an easy way out of it. All I did in the process was do more damage to my body, sending my hormones and electrolytes out ...

All I did in the process was do more damage to my body, sending my hormones and electrolytes out of whack. The only time I really felt good was when I was eating cleaner and exercising regularly. As I get older I'm noticing more aches, pains, wrinkles and dimples. I'm tired all the time and feel I have no energy for my 5 yr old daughter. It's time for me to get myself organized again, to focus on becoming healthy and I know that this site will help me get back on track.

My Goals:
Long term, to get to about 170-180. Short term is to just take every day as it comes. The good and bad and not beat myself up over small setbacks or indulgences.

My Program:
Right now my focus is mainly on diet... from what my trainer tells me... that's 90% of your weight loss success. I make sure that I workout at the very least 3 times a week. Slow and steady... but in the end it will be worth all the hard work.

Personal Information:
I've got a 4 yr old that loves to participate when she can, and it's hard to always find a sitter when you're wanting to go to the gym and they're childcare hours aren't compatible with your schedule. I'm always looking to meet people with kids so that not only does it make it fun for them, but it gives us parents a chance to do what we need to do while teaching our little ones good lifestyle habits.

Here some a different set of commandments for you:

The Ten Commandments of Permanent Fat Removal
