It is never too late to be what you might have been!

I'm back after a few years haitus. It is good to check in again and see the progress that I've made. It's easy to get caught up in the day to day of maintaing new habits and lifestyle and forget how far I've come.

I am so thankful to SP for being here, the one FREE site which has everything I need to stay motivated and informed! I have used the recipes site so many times and am continually inspired by the blogs.

To all of my fellow sparkers I encourage you to ...

My Goals:
Maintain 110-115 pounds of MUSCLE! Keep active and fit and enjoy my life!

My Program:
I love Jillian Michaels workout DVD's! I also am a huge fan of weight training which keeps me small and strong. I incorporate some cardio like cycling and hiking, but only periodically. I usually workout 3-4 days a week for 30-60 min per session.

Personal Information:
I am a mother of two amazing young women and a grandmother to two exceptional grandsons. I'm from the Pacific NW - Portland, OR. We also lived on the Oregon coast for about 15 years. In our state there are mountains, deserts, ocean, rainforest, and Crater Lake Nat'l park. One can drive anywhere interesting within 30min to 2hrs.

I usually work out to whatever Im in the mood for. Ive got about 4 playlists on my IPOD: Hawaiian music; Rock - which includes U2, Rammstein, Nirvana, World Ethnic Punk, the Clash, Korn....; chic tunes - If Im feeling especially introspective - Sinead OConnor, Portishead, Ekova, Tracy Chapman, and some local artists; and one playlist of the Revised Nightmare Before Christmas!

Wishing you luck on reaching your goals. My story is pretty much the same as yours, but I am taking control of my life now and getting back into shape. I am taller than you though, LOL, 5'1"! LOL......but I do understand and am working hard to get back into shape. Keep up the good work and I'm there with you! Congratulations on your move! emoticon

Good luck with your fitness goals & move to Hawaii. I have had similar ups and downs with my goals although have never been "ripped." But I can relate to having fitness up and downs being somehow related to relationships going on in my life. This time around I am working on being strong and fit for MYSELF.
