Hello Sparkles! I'm an earthy, southern woman with a good sense of humor, who loves nature, animals, trees, crystals, the paranormal & I'm into natural healing & natural remedies when at all possible. I Love Wolves, angels, faeries & I'm very open minded. I love organic gardening & growing herbs. I'm an Author & Writer, writing about love, peace, life & never giving up. I've had a lot of health problems for a long time, so exercising has not been easy for me. I came here a couple of years ago, but I didn't really have any support at home or around me, so I didn't do much here. I'm back & serious about losing weight, feeling better, being healthier & much happier. I look forward to finding a few friends here & helping each other on this journey! Blessings~

My Goals:
My goals are to become healthier, have less physical pain and lose weight to help with the two! I want to be able to breathe better, have less "baggage" to carry around and to "lighten" up!

My Program:
I'm changing my eating habits, what I eat, when I eat and my living habits! I'm working with my doctor on what the best program is for me and have told her about SparkPeople and she thinks this is a great program!

Personal Information:
I was born in Louisville Kentucky, but my family moved to Virginia when I was a year old. I love living in the country, being around nature and where its quiet. I'm on Facebook under this same name, so look me up sometime! :)

One of my favorite quotes is...

"The task ahead of you is never as great as the Power within you!"

"Sometimes victory seems so far away because we measure it only by the goal. And end goals can seem overwhelmingly huge, daunting, and just plain hard to reach. But if we start measuring our victories by the smaller choices we make each day, victory won't seem so impossible.....
It's amazing the chain reaction that can start in your life with just one good choice.
Big things are built one brick at a time.
Victories are achieved one choice at a time.
A life well lived is chosen one day at a time.
Oh sweet friend, you are closer than you think to victory!"

Be your own hero, one choice and one step at a time! You might not see visible signs of progress right away, but as long as you keep doing your best, you will make progress and you will be victorious! I'm rooting for you! Remember, you're worth your best effort!

“The difference between stepping stones and stumbling blocks is not in the event itself but how you think about it and what you do after it.
Every failure and setback can become part of your success or an excuse for quitting or failing.
People who develop the discipline of positivity are both happier and more successful."

Just dropping by to say hello, Sparkfriend! Remember, you don't have to be perfect on this journey in order to make progress! As long as you keep trying...and never are already a success! Keep doing your best, because you are worth the effort!

"Part of abandoning the all-or-nothing mentality is allowing yourself room for setbacks.
We are bound to have lapses on the road to health and wellness, but it is critical that we learn how to handle small failures positively so that we can minimize their long-term destructive effects.
One setback is one setback—it is not the end of the world, nor is it the end of your journey toward a better you.”

"It is rewarding to find someone you like, but it is essential to like yourself.
It is quickening to recognize that someone is a good and decent human being, but it is indispensable to view yourself as acceptable.
It is a delight to discover people who are worthy of respect and admiration and love, but it is vital to believe yourself deserving of these things."

I hope you're having a good weekend so far, Sparkfriend! I just wanted to stop by and share a couple of great quotes with you. Keep pushing to reach your goals, one day at a time. Always believe that you are worth your absolute best effort...because you are!

"My invitation to you is to begin living every moment as though you are miraculous and deserve to live an extraordinary life.
Fake it if you must and keep faking it until it’s real to you. The gift you will be giving yourself is a lifelong journey of discovery, one that is infinite and infinitely rewarding. Begin the journey. Today. This moment. Now."

"One of the most difficult parts of changing how you live and how you eat is believing that change is possible.
We all say we believe that, but many of us, deep down in our hearts believe that it's possible for other people, but not for us.
That other people can do it, that the glowy warm life we imagine is for other people, not for us.
We have an unconscious belief that we can't do it, it's hopeless, and so, on some level, we stop making an effort.
We lapse into the way it always was or is. But change really is possible.
And it really does take a fierce kind of longing, and a fierce kind of love for yourself.
For the life you know is possible. Ask yourself what you love most of all.
Do you love your life? And are you willing to take action on your own behalf?"
