2013 is my goal year!

In 2009 I could hardly walk to the elevator at work. I weighed 316 pounds and needed to decide whether I wanted to live or die. I started dieting that year and eventually lost 156 pounds. I now weigh in at 164 pounds after having gained back 17 pounds. I intend to reach my goal this year and finally weigh in the normal bmi range of 145 pounds.
I am determined to do this. This is my year!

* Getting into a normal bmi range.
*Walking three or more miles as many days a week as I can.
*Eating well balanced meals that are low in carbohydrates.
*Enjoying my new life.

Using my Striiv to monitor mileage each week.
Planning my meals ahead of time so I know what i'm going to eat.
Never go to the grocery store hungry!
Thinking about other kinds of exercise I might like to try this year.

Hi Myrtle :)
so glad you are back also. I still have a few busy days but for sure by Monday when I start my night shifts I will be 100% back. I always do better while working. Probably cause I have to really think hard on what to pack in my lunch bucket.
I also gained a weight but thankfully it was just 15 lbs. But it was enough to kick me out of the new jeans I had bought. So rather than get down on myself...I'll just go forward. Why be a downer on yourself....lets just get back in the groove.
How has your traveling job been?
We send my son and his company off to Afghan....yesterday. He's the one that just got married last week.
Hard thing it was!
We will keep him in our prayers for the next 18 months.

Congratulations on such wonderful progress! I am now working on year 7 as a survivor and hope to reach the 10 year birthday. And such wonderful weight loss success, you will for sure reach that new goal.
