I am a recovering workaholic and looking to become healthier, so I can enjoy riding my new bike this summer. By becoming fit I look forward to getting back to more active vacation. Like the one to Glacier in 2003 when I enjoyed doing multiple hikes in to back part of the park. Then I got the opportunity to walk the Great Wall of China in 2004 along with other historical sites and gardens. In 2005 I traveled to two different providence of Canada enjoying the scenery and activity of Vancouver Island and tour along the Canadian Rockies. In 2006 I explored the castles of Ireland. I hope my next vacation will be a cruise to Alaska.

My Goals:
Eat at least five (5) fruits and vegetables a day, drink eight (8) glasses of water, update my nutritional tracker daily, and stay positive.

My Program:
Make small changes by setting weekly goals that will assist me in changing to habits that will assist me in obtaining my long term goal of becoming a more active and healthy individuals. Incorporate daily activity both plan and leisure opportunity.

Personal Information:
I am from Salt Lake City, Utah. I have been struggle with my weight since my early twenties. I have been successful in the past I had lost 85 pound on Weight Watchers, but I have gained 45 pounds back. I refuse to gain the other 40 and look forward to losing the 45 I have gained back and more. I have been able to enjoy traveling both in the US and international.

Other Information:
I enjoy reading, hiking, biking and computer games. I am looking forward to getting back on my bike and tearing up the road.

    Friday Fitness Mini-Challenge . . .

    Do 20 Tricep Extensions before proceeding with any further SP business. No flabby upper arms for SLC Sparkers!

    The seated triceps extension involves holding one weight in both hands and extending the arms over the head. For this exercise, keep the abs engaged to avoid arching the back and start with light weights so you have control of the movement. Use a chair with back support if you're using heavy weights. You can also do this one arm at a time with lighter weights.
