Good health means being alive to watch my children grow

I have been too thin all my life until 8 years ago when my doctor perscribed me paxil. I put on 50 pounds in 6 months. Now, not only can I not lose it...I have gained MORE! I am 39 years old with 4 kids, my youngest is almost a year old and my oldest is 18. I want to be there for them and know that my weight is affecting my health and shortening my life span. My husband is a fitness finatic and I want to be like him! I want to share that with him and I want him to be proud of me.I am also ...

I want to be an example to my students!

My Goals:
Get rid of temptation, give the cookies away, or throw them in the trash!Drink my water.
Stop eating out! No more fast food!
Follow my nutrition plan.
Tell myself positive thoughts!
Lose 1.5 pounds per week.
Eat more vegetables.

My Program:
Grabbing that first glass of water first thing in the morning so that it jump starts it for the day.
Tracking my food on SP
Remind myself constantly that the results are not immediate but every day will bring me one day closer to my goal. Plan meals and a menu ahead of time. Failing to plan is planning to fail. Only buy foods that I will realistically eat. Stop eating out. Eat in, save money, eat healthy.

Other Information:
I want to honor God with my body and losing weight will honor HIM.

Hi Lisa, Welcome to spark here you find lots of help from other people just like you.You will get the support and motivation from others that will keep you going. I added you as a friend. I am here to help in anyway I can. Here is one advice that I got from a person who help me. Make 5 small goals for 30 days this way you wont be over whelmed. It has help me a lot cause each month I make new goals..Take care my new friend.Sandy
