Approaching the Finish Line

SHORT VERSION OF WEIGHT LOSS STORY:
I peaked around 200 lbs by the end of college after packing on about 50 lbs over the course of 4 years. I had an incredibly unhealthy lifestyle-- mostly sedentary, all-you-can-eat dining hall philosophy, and 5+ nights of heavy drinking a week! Taking the weight back off has been a long process but I'm happy to say that I am in better shape now than when I entered college. I'm ready now to finally reach my goal weight and enjoy being in shape.

Taking the weight back off has been a long process but I'm happy to say that I am in better shape now than when I entered college. I'm ready now to finally reach my goal weight and enjoy being in shape.

It's time to clean up my incredibly suspect diet so that I can get the most out of my work outs. I LOVE to run and most forms of cardio exercise! Adding in strength training has been a challenge, but I am getting used to it. Hopefully soon I will begin to even enjoy it!

Now I really feel like I'm approaching the finish line and taking off the last few "vanity" pounds. Although for me those vanity pounds are less about appearance and more about performance. I can't wait to see how much stronger and faster I can be!

Hi there new sparkfriend! You have clearly made some amazing progress, way to go!! I have been a member of this site off and on for a while now but never really got involved or committed but I am definitely ready to commit now and make some friends to motivate each other. I'm staring at a closet full of summer clothes that I WILL wear proudly this summer! I am three days in to doing a tricot diet and it's going great so far... must... keep... motivation! How are things going for you?
