Trying to keep my family healthy

I am a stay at home mom to two beautiful children. I am also a wife to a caring, patient man. I have been fighting some weight that just won't budge! I have recently started drinking raw milk and cooking from scratch. My weight is finally going down! :-)

Hello MUZOMAMMA,

This is Carol from the Dave Ramsey Fans and No Artificial Sweeteners teams, and I'm stopping by to see how you're doing since you joined on 8/22. Jules is our Dave Ramsey team leader. Please join us on the TMMO daily chat thread, and introduce yourself in the intro section. If you follow Dave's babysteps, let us know where you're at. There is lots of support on this team when you post. Debt is normal; we're weird. We're glad to have you join us on the journey to freedom. Carol

Hello MUZOMAMMA,

Welcome to the No Artificial Sweeteners Team! Please join us on the chat thread so we can get to know you, and introduce yourself in the New to Team Forum. We love birthdays, so please let us know yours on the birthday thread.

Some of our diabetic team members cannot have "healthy sugars", so we also share and research alternative sweeteners on this team, attempting to find the healthiest and least artificial amid the bewildering array of sweeteners and the maze of information. We go through them one by one and post threads and articles. There are alot of threads discussing different sweeteners just waiting for you to peruse them. So read, read, read!

We want to spread the word about the dangers of aspartame, aka AminoSweet, Equal, NutraSweet, Spoonful, and liquid stevia that is mixed with aspartame. There is the unlabeled use of aspartame in processed foods, children's vitamins, prescription & OTC medication, gum & mints, Tylenol, milk, Mars candy bars, and I could go on and on since it's now in over 9,000 products. Hints aspartame is in a product, even if unlabeled, are PKU on the label, and 'natural flavors' in the ingredients list (natural flavors may or may not be aspartame and/or MSG), and you also need to ask your pharmacist about "inactive ingredients" in medications. If you don't ask you won't know that you're ingesting aspartame, neotame, sorbitol, etc. A new scary twist by food manufacturers is to combine several sweeteners together in one processed food, beverage, or medication - like neotame with stevia with mannitol; and the addition of unlabeled aspartame into thousands of NOT diet food products.

Three of the aspartame symptoms on the FDA's list of 92 are Weight Gain, Increased Hunger, and Death. We can save lives by spreading the word about aspartame! The FDA declined to release the list of 92 symptoms publicly, so it had to be obtained through filing a FOIFA request (freedom of information act).

We're glad to have you join us, welcome! Carol

Good morning and welcome to the Kombucha Kurious team! As you must have already realised, we rave about more than just kombucha- as a direct result of starting the team I now ferment kefir and have tried Kimchi and Kraut- there are many other ways to ferment foods and we love to try them out!

Please, pull up a comfy chair and read our threads, maybe even share your story with us- it doesn't matter if you've been fermenting foods forever or you're just wanting to find out more.

You're very welcome!

Paul
