I joined SparkPeople in the summer of 2010, and when I stuck with the program I lost 35 pounds. Unfortunately, I fell off the path several times. I kept saying that I would commit myself and "do better this time around," and I usually I would do well for a while. But, it seems that every time I would lose weight, somehow I would end up gaining more in the end.
I was diagnosed with diabetes in March of 2014, and it's been tough the last few months. Nothing seems to be helping me regulate my sugar, and I'm afraid I will be on insulin sometime in the near future. While I haven't been extremely careful with what I've been eating, I haven't been horrible either. So, I started to do some thinking.
I have done some research on weight loss surgery, and I have come to the conclusion that I will be working towards the gastric sleeve surgery. I believe (and so do my doctors!) that I am an excellent candidate for the surgery and hope that I will be able to reach my weight loss goals for the first time in my life. I also hope that will be a solution to my diabetes.
So, here I am again, trying to reach my goals pertaining to the weight loss surgery that I will hopefully be undergoing in the next few months.

I am a 28 year old female who enjoys music, traveling, writing, and fine dining. My family is a very important part of my life. I love the summertime and spending time at the beach. I am a "chronic cruiser," and I honestly believe I was born to be at sea.

This quote makes me think of all of the things that I've wanted to do and how I decided that I don't want to just exist, I really want to live. I want to run, and hopefully do a marathon. I want to see the Great Wall of China. I want to parasail and go in a hot air balloon. I want to learn to speak Italian, and I want to live in Italy, even if for just a short period of time. Among all of this, I want to lose weight and gain a healthier lifestyle.

I would like to live a healthier lifestyle. Eat healthier, exercise more. I would like to be happier and full of more energy and gain a more positive outlook on life.
I have started the 90 day Body By Vi challenge.... I am going to improve my life by getting the right amount of nutrition and exercise and I am going to use SparkPeople as a tool to support me during my weightloss goals.

I am from Ohio. I am currently thinking about starting cosmetology school. I hope to undergo gastric bypass surgery in the month of October to help me attain my weight loss goals, as I have tried many ways in the past to do it on my own.
