    Muttsbark, I didn't know that they have pressure cooker/ smoker before. Fascinating. Usually, it's the people who don't know how to use the appliances who think they don't work. With meats, you always want to marinade for best results regardless of how you cook it. I'd try to marinate the meat for 24 hrs before giving it another try. Just a thought.

    Hi Muttsbark, Do you mean "Sugar Blue?" Yes, I read that too. I was very strict with sugar even before the book came out. Nowadays, I'm not so strict anymore. But all those years have paid off, blood glucose is good regardless of what I ate. I need to update my book list and you're providing me the motivation. I'm hard at work on my high calcium, high collagen protein smoothie using frozen chicken broth for ice and Horizon's ultra pasteurized organic milk (yes, you do want the super high temp to kill the bugs) as the base. I'll blog if I come up with something.
    P.S. I've heard of Chipotle restaurant but I didn't know what it meant until you mentioned it. Yes, that's exactly the technique to cook the dried chilli in hot oil to slightly burn it similar to the way they do it with Mongolian beef. I've also made the mistake of putting in too much chilli myself. LOL
