I got on spark years ago, and it really helped. I got lazy about it, but found Roller Derby which kept me from gaining back. Then I got injured, which both sidelined me from activity, but gave me a chance to work on my writing. The latter lead to opportunities at performing (I do stand up), but when I healed I never went back to Derby, or the gym. In the beginning of December I did a set at Broadway Comedy Club, which is video taped. When I saw the video two weeks ago I was so horrified at hw big I had become, I couldn't make it through the 6 minutes. So now I'm back. With a bigger overall goal, 10% at a time. And a new motivation: to keep my career momentum going.
I would like to be healthier and feel more confident about my appearance by losing (ultimaetly) 130 pounds, and by toning my body.
I'm following the Spark recommendations for calories/fat/carb/ etc, and avoiding processed foods and white sugar (though to keep from going insane, a half cup of white pasta sneaks in there). I'm working out, experimenting with different methods.
