Not too bad, I'm heading to Los Angeles to interview for three different positions in the music industry. Production assistant, transcriptionist, an personal assistant to a successful band manager. I'm driving myself all the way there from MA in two weeks!

Not the Partita, but minuet in G and Air on the G string.
Baroque music can sound robotic if not interpreted correctly; all the scale playing and driving timing.
I do prefer Renaissance, which has a lyrical quality and can be interpreted a bit more broadly.

Major jealous that you have the opportunity to play it!
Back in the day (1970's, I think) there was a record (yes, record) called Switched on Bach, where the mushc, Including this Brandenburg, was played on a Moog analog (not digital) synthesizer. It was a hoot, and my first introduction to it! I keep scanning iTunes to see if they will ever have it, but no luck so far
There was also a record by the Swingle Singers of some a capella work, including Baroque. Lots of experimentation back then.
One thing I do not like is when a piano is substituted for a harpsichord in baroque music. awful!
