Music Mom's weight loss

I am a stay-at-home mom of 2 boys (ages 11 and 8). I have always had problems with my weight but I feel like this time is different. I've been a part of Spark People since December 2007, and this is the longest that I have stuck with any type of weight loss program. The funny thing is that I don't feel like that's what this is. This is a lifestyle change that has really changed the way I do things.

On September 3, 2012 I reached my goal weight of 144 pounds! So excited, and ...

On September 3, 2012 I reached my goal weight of 144 pounds! So excited, and a little bit scared, to be switching over to maintenance, but I know that I can do it!!

As of November 18, 2012 the scale has slowly crept back up so I am moving back into weight loss mode. This is tough!

July 1, 2013 - I'm considering myself back in maintenance mode. As long as I stay under 150, I'll be happy!

June 9, 2014 - Back into weight loss mode. The scale has moved back up since my surgery back in Oct. 2013 and just won't budge. Frustrated, but I know that I will succeed!

Tell your son (of the pulled teeth) I'm thinking of him. I had 10 pulled at once back in '89, then wore braces for 6 years waiting for my permanent teeth to come in. My dad took all sorts of pics of the inside of my mouth. I still remember the feel of the gums without teeth!

I am almost feeling like this bible study is a "routine" now although I did enjoy it a lot until towards the end of it last spring. If I don't go there I do have to make sure there is an outing for me to "get away." Must decide.... I know it is on the Psalms right now and that topic isn't capturing me either.

Thanks for the explanation of the GlowGetter. Did you do a comparison of a FitBit and the Spark Activity gadget, or did you just go with the Spark device because of your involvement with SparkPeople?

I didn't do anything other than exercise some weak ankles! I did text the trainer and asked about it as today was to be cardio. I am thrilled how well the oils worked Kellie! I massaged 1 drop Marjoram and 1 drop Lavender onto the sorest spot every 2-3 hours yesterday (beginning about 2 pm) and then sat with heat on it for an hour before bed. This morning...feels so great and swelling is down.
