Mumof3ms resolves to live better.
Hi, Welcome to my page. I am a mother of three. Their first names all begin with M. Hence, the name Mumof 3ms. :-) . Their ages are 13 (girl),11 (boy) ,10 (girl) respectively. I have had trouble with weight for a long time. As a teenager, I was foolish in thinking that I always needed to be on a diet. I thought I was fat. Of course, I went on the roller coaster ride of losing weight just to gain more back. And soon, I was fat. So I have lived decades of having issues ...
Hi, Welcome to my page. I am a mother of three. Their first names all begin with M. Hence, the name Mumof 3ms. :-) . Their ages are 13 (girl),11 (boy) ,10 (girl) respectively. I have had trouble with weight for a long time. As a teenager, I was foolish in thinking that I always needed to be on a diet. I thought I was fat. Of course, I went on the roller coaster ride of losing weight just to gain more back. And soon, I was fat. So I have lived decades of having issues with my weight. Last summer, I was diagnosed with Grave's Disease. It scared me. I started the medication and was told that I would gain weight. That scared me even more. I knew my self esteem could not take that. So I went to the local YMCA and asked them to just help me maintain. My goal was not to lose weight. But to maintain and get stronger. I wanted to walk with my kids down the street for Halloween. My start was slow but I was able to walk with them through the whole subdivision. They gave up before I did. But with all of my walking that I was doing, I slowly lost some pounds. Before joining Spark People, I had lost 5 pounds. I worked very hard to do that. My goal is to start living a healthier life. I think Richard Simmons said it best. Start your "Live it" program. He hated the term diet because it had the word die. So I say to myself, you are going to "Live it"

My Goals:
My ultimate goal is to be around for my children when they are older.
My Program:
I started out slow. First, I watched what I was eating. Especially watch the portions. I have put more fruits and vegetables in my "Live it" program. Second, I walk 30 minutes at least 3 times a week. I walk at least 10 mins on the other days.
