hi there I'm 50+ and want to lose weight.



Actually I wrote this 6years ago !! I lost weight but put it back on again and realise the need to change my lifestyle and watch my excercise and portion control.

For all of you that have been yo yoing we can do this !! I know I can :D

My son is my inspiration. He was a chubby boy due to my over feeding him and giving him junk food along with my other 2 children, He looked at himself and decided to do something about it all on his own. He eats 6 small meals a day and does cardio and weights and in a short time he has lost so much weight he is hardly recognised from the chubby teenager he used to be.

I read in someones blog that failure is simply the opportunity to begin again. a quote from Henry Ford.

Obstacles are what we see when we take our eyes off the goal. Our goal is to lose weight . look good,feel better about ourselves , most importantly have healthier bodies!.

Nothing is particularly hard if we divide it into small jobs. We need to make small goals along our way to success.

whether we think we can or we think we cant we are right! It all starts with the right mindset. which one do we want to have ?

goal is to lose 42 pounds and get back to my original weight. I desperately need to stay off crisps and wine !! keep off the junk food and cut down on my portions ! I like food too much see?!

What a wonderful attitude you have about it though, that's what truly counts! We will do this together in 2007! I have also put a few pounds on this week, but I know they will come back off, plus some, starting next week!!!

Yes, I have been very low during the holidays, and I'm looking forward to the new year and hoping it brings better things, and getting back on track with logging my food/exercise, wiping the slate clean and getting my weight off for good! You are too kind! I have always been a fitness buff. Before becoming a nurse I was thinking about being a personal trainer. I love talking about fitness and reading about new advances in fitness and nutrition. I get a kick out of helping people look their best. I will be getting some beauty advice added to the forum sometime. I think its important to take care of your skin and hair to get the whole package.
