I enjoy cooking and like to make soup. I eat soup just about everyday for lunch.
I like all types of fresh food and don't follow a special diet. I eat whatever I want. I will start logging my food and exercise and believe that moderation is the key to success.
I grew up in the country, and love all things outdoors. I have lots of time to travel, and especially love the outdoors.

Weigh 132 pounds.
Exerecise no less than 5 days per week.
Measure and log my food daily.

My Program:
My Program:
I enjoy hiking hiking on the mountain trails in New Mexico during the summer and so does my 10 year old Bichon Frise. I use my SOLE Elliptical 2 days a week when I am in Texas. I choose two toning videos to do on my workout days. I do all of my exercises at home. I drink LOTS of water. I do my best to say "No Thank You" to sugar and processed foods.
I travel frequently with my husband and we often split a meal!
I enjoy my cocktails and my red wine.
I add them to my log and do my best to burn them off! It does require discipline to have a cocktail that doesn't lead to snacking on chips and dips. On days that I lack discipline, I skip happy hour.

Personal Information:
I live in Texas and have twin 22 year old boys.
I am married and travel frequently. I am a retired teacher and look forward to the new freedoms that retirement brings.
I recently gained about 20 pounds due to a broken leg. I am finally healed and ready to kick those 20 pounds to the curb!

Other Information:
Over the past 2 years, I have gained weight because I retired and didn't put my fitness goals first. I like to eat out and write reviews for Trip Advisor.

Terri, as promised . . . This is an example of what I send team members:

Little mini-challenge for you this week! Hopefully, you’ll be reminded of this everyday—when you check your sparkpage:

“Get Up & Move”—at least once an hour. Studies show that hours of inactivity change the way your body processes glucose & fat. Continuous sitting causes metabolic changes that increase blood sugar levels & decrease the amount of fat used for fuel. Both then cause an increase in fat storage—not what you want to happen! Let’s “Get Up & Move!!!" emoticon emoticon

Terri, the link didn't work. I posted in the chatroom on team (Pixie's). I wish we could add links to our comments, like we do on threads, but oh well. Even copying & pasting didn't work with this one.

Glad to forward information about the 5% Challenges! They are awesome, and I think you'd fit right in. In fact, on my team (Champions in the Kitchen), we focus a lot on sharing recipes & healthy cooking, which I see you enjoy. Anyway, all the teams are super. Here's blog one of the main leaders did last month. I think it will answer a lot of your questions . . . and has a link to the "main" 5% Challenge team. Let's keep in touch, especially as we get closer to the next round. Spring finishes on May 30th.
