I like all types of fresh food and don't follow a special diet. I eat whatever I want. I log my food and exercise and believe that moderation is the key to success.

My Goals:
Weigh 132 pounds.
Exerecise no less than 5 days per week.
Measure and log my food daily.


My Program:
My Program:
I enjoy walking 1-2 miles on the jogging trail behind my house 5 days a week for the benefit of my Bichon Frise. I also do 3 Zumba dances on my Wii 3 days a week. I use my SOLE Elliptical 3 days a week. I choose two toning videos to do on my workout days. I do all of my exercises at home. I drink LOTS of water. I do my best to say "No Thank You" to sugar and processed foods. I log my food intake and fitness daily. I try to eat between 1200-1300 calories a day.
I keep a food and exercise log. I love to hike when in New Mexico.
I travel frequently with my husband and we often split a meal!
I enjoy my cocktails and my red wine.
I add them to my log and do my best to burn them off! It does require discipline to have a cocktail that doesn't lead to snacking on chips and dips. On days that I lack discipline, I skip happy hour.

Personal Information:
I live in Texas and have twin 21 year old boys.
I am married and travel frequently. I am a newly retired teacher and look forward to the new freedoms that retirement brings.
I am enjoying my Spark Activity Tracker!
I recently gained about 20 pounds due to a broken leg. I am finally healed and ready to kick those 20 pounds to the curb!

Other Information:
Over the past 5 years, I have gained weight because exercise was not a priority.My job was very stressful and so demanding and time consuming. I cleaned out my closet, got rid of the "fat clothes" and made room for new clothes.
I also started weighing in with a friend. Acountability is another key ingredient to staying with the program.
I do eat out once a week at a nice place. I try to order large salads. I avoid fast food places as much as I can. Taco Bell is my downfall!

Terri, I didn't know if you heard about the head-on collision accident that I was in. I posted an updated blog about my current injuries. My net @ work has so many blockers that I rarely see anything pop up on the screen like before.
When I am at home tho... I cannot log onto Spark anymore with my dial-up service, it takes too long to load anything... so I gave up on that.
I look for more options... to see if the pop-ups can be turned off.

Hey there DONE Girl! I just saw your post on the DYKT thread. I don't have a problem with ads here on Spark, but I use Mozilla Firefox as my internet browser and I think that cuts out a lot of unneeded ads and harassment.

I have been struggling a lot over the past couple months to make healthy choices, but I am here...and so are you, and that's the most important step. I am here if you need to talk or vent! Hang in there. You are DONE and you are capable of achieving any goals you set for yourself!
