Spring 5% Challenge

Activity plan:
Do strength training 5 days per week.
Try a new core exercise video on Youtube weekly
I have a knee injury so cardio is OUT for now.

Fall 5% Nutrition Plan:
I am committed to tracking my food intake using the Spark Nutrition Tracker. (This is difficult for me!)
I am going to reduce my carbohydrate and sodium intake and increase my protein.
In addition, I will get in at least 3 freggies a day.
I will measure my foods and drink at least 8 glasses of water per day.
On my team page I will daily record my exercise and Living the Good Life points, and I will weigh and record my weight weekly. I will check with my team at least three times per week. I will visit team members' pages and blogs as much as I can.

I am looking forward to being physically, mentally and spiritually stronger. Sparkpeople has the tools to help me succeed. Now, it is up to me to put the knowledge to use.
Both of my twins have graduated college.
I am a retired school teacher and look forward to marking a few things off my bucket list.
I enjoy cooking and like to make soup. I eat soup just about everyday for lunch.
I like all types of fresh food and don't follow a special diet. I eat whatever I want. I am logging my food and exercising and believe that moderation is the key to success.
I grew up in the country, and love all things outdoors. I have lots of time to travel, and especially love the outdoors.

    emoticon the Spring Challenge pf the Biggest Loser Challenge Team is in its final weeks. Come join us for the Summer Challenge starting beginning of June.If you're looking for a challenge and ready to make a commitment....I have the challenge for you!

    Biggest Loser is the name. It's a 10 week commitment with 10 teams of 24 members each. Main requirements are to weigh in each week and do the inter team challenges (ITC's). Our inter team challenges consist of fitness and nutrition. They are very helpful in losing the weight and inches and it's fun to compete with other teams for points. Individual teams might have mini challenges of their own.

    I lead the GOLDEN PHOENIX team and would love to have you join us for the Summer Challenge which starts about June 7. Just let me know and I will sign you up and send you an invitation.

    Congrats on a great 1st week of the Spring 5% Challenge, Champion! Always remember to smell the flowers when you're talking a meditative walk.

    And take a 123-break every hour … for 1 cup of water, 2 minutes of stretching, and 3 cleansing breaths. GO CHAMPIONS!!!
