Determined to stay fit :)

2012 has been a tough year...between having a knee injury for the past year and increased stress with family and work, I have gained the weight I lost back. Bummer! I'm up to running 3.5 miles about three times a week with some cross training such as bike riding or hiking mixed in.

Weight seems to be stuck for the moment but my husband and I are going to start strength training back up to boost my metabolism.

I was able to hike the Swiss Alps last September and it was awesome! We hiked 90 miles in about 10 days with a lot of elevation gain. We saw beautiful sights and met some wonderful people.

My goals for 2012 are:
*Continue to work on increasing running mileage slowly
*Weight train consistently
*Track my food consistently
*Work on managing stress more effectively

I also hope to run a 5 or 10K in October. I haven't raced in over a year and am missing it!

My Goals:
My long term goals are to be in great shape by Summer 2011 to hike the Alps with my husband and to get to a healthy weight.

My Program:
My goals are to do cardio 6 days a week for 60 minutes, strength training 3 days a week, tracking my food every day, and limiting my sodium intake to under 2300mgs.

Personal Information:
I live in Oregon and have been married for a little over two years to my wonderful husband!

I started running in December 2009 ran my first half-marathon on 5/2/2010!


Other Information:
I love to read mystery books! My husband and I watch a few TV shows like, Chuck, The Mentalist, Fringe, and Burn Notice.
