Fitness Minutes: 87,590

My Goals:
I have to get my weight down as well as my blood sugar levels. My goal is to lose something, anything, to get this plateau busted. My blood sugars have been slowly coming down but that is only if I exercise and watch my carbs.So tracking is also a goal as well as 30 minutes plus exercise each day.

My Program:
Since we are far enough from town to limit joining a gym I have made a nice home gym here. I just need to use it. I have loads of DVDs, a pilates reformer, fitness ball, weight and bands. Our treadmill burns up its motor so once it warms up outside I will also walk around our property.

Watching my carb intake makes all the difference in my blood sugar levels. I am not sure just how low I can consistently go with my carbs. I eat and test to see what is working and what does not. Basically no eating of nasty white stuff: sugar, flour, etc.

Personal Information:
I am 66, been on Sparks a long time and will always be a Firecracker. We are originally from Baltimore, MD and now live in wild, wonderful WV! I miss some of the convenience of 'city' life but do love country living even if it takes 25 minutes to get to town. My 2 children are grown and I miss them so I spy on FB whenever I can!!

Other Information:
I use LoseIt to track my food because I don't have to be online to do it. I have had a Fitbit since 2010. I love Walk It Out on my Wii, still enjoy looking for the rainbow!

    I hope you have a good Mother's Day. Have you been having Internet problems with all of the rain lately. Where I used to live, it went out a lot as well as my power always gave me problems. I hope you haven't decided not to continue in the challenge as I think you are a good addition to our team. Anyway, if I can help you in anyway, just let me know! I consider myself your friend and please keep in touch. I have been trying to follow the Dr. Beck's Diet that Mr. Owl presented and I see you have it on your page, so how is it working for you? Have a great day and enjoy your Mother's Day. I see by your page you also follow the Keto Diet. I have been talking to Dawn about that and might give it a try. I don't know if it would be a right fit for me or not. I have tried so many diets before and it seems none of them have actually worked, but just trying to not eat sugar or white flours, but I have been stuck at my current weight for a while now. Please share with me! emoticon

    emoticon I hope your Wednesday is a good one! It is supposed to be another sunny day here and then back to more rain, ugh. It seems impossible we are already half way through the challenge. I haven't accomplished much in the weight loss department this spring, whereas in the winter challenge I lost, so I must be at a plateau. I sure wish it would end and I could start losing again.
