Back on Track

I am a married mother of two who went from 200 pounds to 135 on the Atkins diet. Six and a half years later I have regained 30 pounds, 20 of those in recent months due to the loss of my best friend. I need to focus on losing the weight, not just so I can be healthy and proud of how I look, but so I can fight my way out of this horrible depression. I can't control my fate, and I can't change what happened, but I can control what goes in my mouth and why. So, here I go....wish me luck in fighting back against the bulge and the sadness.

My Goals:
* I would like to lose 40 pounds.

* Become not just skinny, but toned, muscular, and say GOODBYE to cellulite and hello shorts!

*Get in better shape BEFORE getting pregnant. I WILL not suffer through strangers asking when the TWINS are due (yeah, never carried twins, how embarressing, huh?)

*I would like to be able to jog for a mile without stopping.

*Be able to be in shape enough to start and finish P90X...

*Learn to live without my best friend and try not to cry every day. These are two important ones.


My Program:
I am about to start Prevention's DTOUR Diet. It seems sensible and fun to do, AND if the control group is for real, then if I stick to it I will lose 15-20 pounds in 6 weeks. Woot, Woot!

Personal Information:
I am originally a Jersey girl who has bounced around the East Coast. Currently residing in NC, but hopefully soon to change. Thinking of Florida?

Mom to two amazing kids, homeschooled, ages 13 and 7. I work as a medical transcriptionist, third shift, so yes, not much physical activity going on there, but that's gonna change!

Trying to conceive, which has been a challenge, and would love to be in a healthy weight range for myself and hopefully the baby to be.

I am an aspiring writer, so keep your fingers crossed for me, and hopefully one day soon I will see my dreams of being published.

Other Information:
I am a die-hard Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series fan! Also LOVE the Sookie novels.

I am newly addicted to WOW and actively seeking a sponsor for my addiction ;)

I LOVE to cook and can spend hours happily baking away in my kitchen. I adore cookbooks!

I also LOVE sushi :) Seriously, its my other addiction...

I read your profile and just wanted to say that you're in my thoughts, life's tough sometimes, but we have to pick ourselves up and keep on keepin on!
