Making Changes for Myself

Welcome to my little area on SparkPeople. My name is Heather. I am a 33 year old mom of 3 wonderful children, I have an awesome husband, and I am a student working on my degree in Psychology.

I have been have been overweight all of my life. I'm a southern girl, and growing up, everything was fried, and we always had to clean our plates, no matter how full we were.

Last April/May my weight sky-rocketed to the wonderful 330lbs. Through the summer, I was doing really well, I had lost close to 50lbs. Well, once the holidays hit (especially around Thanksgiving) I started eating and eating, and couldn't stop. It continued through January, and is still going on. I can't seem to stop this eating, so I am here hoping for support from everyone, and also supporting you!

One day at a time... That's how I am going to do this. I have to remember that its for ME first, because I have to get my mind right, and show my kids and the rest of my family that I can do this.

UPDATE as of 6/25/2013:
I am back up to 330lbs. I am not happy about that. I am still having a problem getting back on track with my weight loss journey. I know that I can do this because I have proven it to myself before. I just really need to focus on what myself and what I need to do, because sitting on the couch and feeling sorry for myself, I have to get up and start working out and eating better.

DONE being the Fat Girl!

DONE being the one that has to turn just to get through an aisle in a theater and even church

DONE being so over-weight that I get winded just walking up the stairs to my apartment.

Done having my kids made fun of because they have a fat mom!

I am DONE with the bad, and looking forward to the good!

My Program:
*Drink more Water
*Use my "It Works" products (heather121.myitworks.com, if you're interested :D)

*Follow Doctor's orders and lose some of the excess carbs I've been eating.

*Work out more- Walk each day while I'm sitting at the schools waiting on the children to get out of school.

*Do at least one DVD a day- Zumba, Tae Bo, or BootCamp.

*Eat LOTS more FRESH fruits and Veggies

*Eat less red meats and more fish products and sometimes chicken.

Personal Information:
Its time for me to stop fighting and stop eating the horrible foods I have been eating. I have leaned on pastries and other high fat foods for too long again.

NO MORE EXCUSES!!!

I AM DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Other Information:
My Challenges:

1) To get off my butt and start working out again

2) To start eating healthier again

3) Drink More WATER!!!

4) Give up the Soda

5) Eat more fresh fruits and veggies, instead of processed foods.

6) Cut down on red meat intake- cut down on meat intake in general.

So sorry I have been away from spark. I was excited and blessed to get pregnant last summer, I had some chalenges and setbacks with my weight loss journey BUT it has turned out for the best- I posted a blog about my pregnancy, crazy birth story and my re-start in May..

How have you been doing? Are you still following a healthy Lifestyle plan?

I am happy to restart on this healthy lifestyle journey. I just restarted May 22nd, and I am already seeing some results, but I have more to go.

Please keep in touch and update me on how you are doing!
