I Will Take Care of Myself Today

Learning to live a healthy lifestyle.

I haven't taken very good care of myself. I've been overweight most of my adult life. I seek out food from boredom, depression, celebration and hunger. I would feel a great sense of personal satisfaction if I could change my habits and thinking towards becoming a healthier me.

Quilting, for me, is peace and a thread to belonging. It ties me to my grandmother and other women, and is a way for me to give something of myself ...

(usually) Keep a food log.

(try to) Exercise 5 times a week.

Eat lots of fresh fruit and vegies.

Keep calories under 2000.

Other Information:
Hypothyroid as a result of successful Hep C treatment in 2007 (no thyroid function left).

Diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation in April 2009.

Thanks for your comment on my blog. It is refreshing to know that others went through the same things. You so hit it on the head. They are not the best but they are not the worst. I hate that kids have to learn things like that at such a young age. What happened to us? What are we teaching our kids? I think this is so childish and I hate that I got caught up in this childishness. Anyway much love you and yours. Did you get your name from the play "Ain't Mis Behavin"?

Hi! I saw you post on the "Overcoming Embarrassment" thread, and I just wanted to say that you should totally go to pilates! I do feel embarrassed aswell when I go, but pilates for me is such a challenge that it really motivates me!!!
It changed my life!!!
