Me after an all-nighter. This was taken for a photography class on portrait day. Fun.......
Mississippi Queen, do ya know what I mean...
BIG Beatles fan, especially George.
Hey y'all. I'm a college student about to start my fifth year (durn double major). I was underweight throughout high school and all I ate was junk food. Well, those habits have caught up with me and after I quit showing horses and my activity level took a nose dive, so did my metabolism. I gained a whopping 40 pounds after my first two years (85 lbs -125 lbs). Now I know 125 isn't bad, but I'm only 5'1", and coming from 85, it looked really awkward. I made a few small changes here and there and some of that weight just kinda went away, so now I'm trying to be fit and fabulous. At 110, I feel really healthy. I'd like to finish toning up my body. Sure, my tracker says my goal is 105, but if that number doesn't show it's really no big deal. It's just a number
My biggest struggle is realizing I'm at a healthy weight and lifestyle now after having been super thin for so long. But my eyes are opening and it's looking wonderful.
I'm not overweight, but I do struggle with my food intake sometimes. I want to make healthy deisions everyday. When I crave something, I can have it, but it has to be healthy and it has to stay in my daily calorie range.
I read everything on nutrition and fitness. I think knowledge and awareness are the best weapons. I drink at least 8 glasses of water/day and get my 9 fruits and veggies/day.
My name is Allyn, and I'm a senior at Mississippi State University double majoring in English and Public Relations. I can't wait to graduate so I can move off and experience life! Plus, I love to be an adventurous cook, but let's face it... in a town named Starkville, there is simply not much opportunity for anything. My goals are to work in the publishing industry, either editorial or publicity.
If anybody is looking for a fun, basic guidebook to a healthy lifestyle, check out The Dish. It's a fun read, although lots of the info is stuff we can get here on spark.

I just love that you are a Beatles fan at your age. I guess it really shows the longevity of their music and the impact they have had on so many people. Yes, George was my favorite too. When they released Do You Wanna Know A Secret, it was the first time we really ever heard George sing, and I don't believe it was until ...turn off your mind relax and float down stream, that we really heard it again. His wonderfully spiritual and positive solo music was incredible, with All Things Must Pass at the heart of it. He was also amazing with the Traveling Wilbury's, probably one of the most incredibly underrated super groups of all time. Well, there you have it. I guess I bounced here from Kat's page. She has been really helpful with the gardening tips today. Stop by some time and share some your thoughts about our beloved Beatles. Just remember that "the love you take, is equal to the love you take." peace...frank
