Slow and steady wins the race

Hi! I don't have an exciting story. I am just a 31 year old woman that doesn't want to feel bad about her body anymore.

I tried Spark a few years ago, but wasn't ready. Now I am back and serious about doing this.

I am 5'4", and have weighed as much as 167 lbs, and as low as 110 lbs in my adult life. I didn't have a weight problem until I was sick a few years ago and put on prednisone (steroids) for several months (which also induced Type I diabetes). I have recovered ...

I have recovered from that illness, but my body has never been the same. I also have hypothyroidism, IBS, and asthma so I do have some other challenges in my life.

I recently changed jobs, and since I didn't like the cafeteria at the new job (gross and expensive), I started packing my own breakfast and lunch. I also started wearing a pedometer and I lost 10 pounds in less then 6 weeks. I figured I had momentum, so why not keep going? Also, there is a free gym at my office, so I decided to start working out too (in the end of January). I now do cardio 4-5x/week and strength train 2x/week.

I know I can do anything I put my mind to, and I will do this.
My first goal is 130 lbs. If I still feel like I am need to lose more weight, I may try and go to 120-125.

Oh, I'm so glad that you had fun playing kickball! We had our second game last night (last week's was canceled b/c of muddy conditions). Funny how the leagues all seem to be on Thursdays. Anyway, we lost pretty badly. But it was still a lot of fun. :-)
Have a great weekend!

Hi again! Well, the kickball game was so much fun! No one took it too seriously and we just played and had fun. There were a variety of skill levels. It was a blast! I hope you enjoy your kickball games as well. Stop by and let me know how those go for you!
