All Aboard!

Began on SparkPeople June 2010 and basically failed at staying dedicated for long enough. Once I started grad school up, I left working out and eating healthy completely out of my new schedule. Not anymore! I joined a gym in December 2010 and have been going pretty strong every since! I also began monitoring my calories more consistently, though this is my biggest obstacle! I know I can do this, and I WILL!

Initially I spent about 6 months losing weight, going from 155 to 125. I maintained 123-126 and around 24% body fat for about 3 years. Then I decided to look good in my underwear :) so I started strength training, eating more food (especially protein), and spending less time in the gym and I went from 24% body fat (in January 2010) to 18% body fat (by around March or April 2010, it was pretty quick). I started training for the Arnold a couple months ago and since then I've gone from 18% down to 15.2% ... on my way to 10%! Eek!

I was in SP 2 years before I FINALLY got emoticon & then followed all the suggestions: start with only 10 MINUTES of exercise (& then build on that); add one healthy habit/remove one unhealthy one & then build on it; an ABSOLUTE must.....enter foods on the Nutrition Tracker every day; connect with other Sparkers--join teams, read blogs, post your own blogs, etc. emoticon
