eager for change

I am here to shed this extra baggage. I'm dealing with no motivation energy or drive. I'm hoping to find the energy I once had. I'm too young do be this miserable. time to kick it in gear and get healthy.

Hi!
I just stopped on your page to say "HI" and welcome you to Spark. You're in the right place to reach your goals, but promise that you'll stop in every day and log your water, log your veggies and fruit, log your food, log your exercise, and read, and post, and log your water, and write on someoneís page, and read some more, and blog, and log your water, and LEARN that you are not alone, and we're all right here with you! Did I mention that you should log your water?

WHEW! Ok, I know you're overwhelmed getting to know this site, but use those buttons up there, especially the MY TRACKERS drop down list, and then either the START or MY SPARKPOINTS. Both of these helped me learn about the site, gain momentum and meet new friends.

Speaking of meeting new friends, this place is like a cocktail party. If you stand in the corner, you won't have as much fun. Make eye contact (or in this place, leave a message on someone's page, or add your opinion to the bazillion conversations going on) to say HI, and you'll meet new friends quick. Oh, yeah, WRITE A BLOG, let me know when youíve posted it, and keep them coming! Itís the catchy title that brings folks to your page and you'll meet new friends even faster!

Motivation: I set timers on my smartphone to remind me 3 times a day to GOMA and move around. I treat it as if it were the timer on the oven saying dinner is done, but instead of going to the kitchen, I'll go up and down the nearest staircase, or walk around the outside or inside of my house/office. These little reminders to move around will grow on you, and as you GOYA, your energy level will start to rise.

Stick around and come back every day! I was here, and left, and came back when I got serious, and I'm so glad I did. Don't procrastinate like I did, dig in now while you're here!

Coming here every day adds a great level of support and accountability. Explore, learn, and never be afraid to reach out for help (meaning: post on the OTHER personís page, not on your own...if you only reply on your own page, the person who posts on your page may never see your response). We're all in this together! Stop by at my page and introduce yourself around to some of my friends too! You'll be glad you did!

Doing it together, success is inevitable!

Hi and welcome to Spark People where you will find lots of information and tons of support and encouragement from all our members. You will find that we also have fun along the way. Drink your 8-8oz glasses of water a day (If you only drink one now, add to as you are able until you are drinking your 8 cups or more a day), watch your portion control (measure everything in the beginning...guaranteed it will get easier) and walk, dance or do any exercise you enjoy (start with 10 minutes a day or several times a day and add to it as you are able or have time). Use your fitness and nutrition tracker daily (guaranteed to work if you use them consistently and honestly). Pick one thing to change...one thing at a time. Don't try to change to many things at once as that can be very overwhelming. Just try to take one step, one minute, one hour, one day, one week at a time. They honestly will all add up to the bigger numbers. These tips will definitely help in lowering your numbers and increasing your ability to enjoy life. Don't expect miracles right away...this is a lifestyle change not a diet. You will be much healthier in the long run. Post any concerns, comments or questions you may have and someone will respond quickly.
Start each day with a positive thought just for that day. Reading and reflecting on an inspirational thought or message before you start your day can put you in a positive frame of mind.
Your thoughts determine whether you have a good day or a bad day. Fill your mind with positive ideas, suggestions, and thoughts. You will find it will change your attitude and changing your attitude can change your life.
Sometimes just reading an inspirational quote or a short paragraph helps one see the positive in a situation. Sometimes as your day progresses you just need to take a break...Take a mental break and read or think about a message of inspiration.
Never underestimate your power to change and improve! You are a good person, with wonderful qualities, and you can reach your goals!
If I can be of any help to you, please let me know with a spark mail or a comment on my page. I am here for you.
God bless you on your journey to a healthier you.
Hugs,
Helen
