Hello all! As I settle comfortably into my late thirties, I'm amazed at how much effort it takes to maintain my figure and weight. I'm still struggling to lose my 'pouch' from the birth of my last child--well, at this point I truly can't blame her...she's 9! Ok, so I would like to tone my body overall, understanding I won't have my 20 yr old body, but these back rolls just aren't acceptable. When you love food as much as I do, sticking to a diet is difficult. So, I'm aiming to enjoy tasty ...
Hello all! As I settle comfortably into my late thirties, I'm amazed at how much effort it takes to maintain my figure and weight. I'm still struggling to lose my 'pouch' from the birth of my last child--well, at this point I truly can't blame her...she's 9! Ok, so I would like to tone my body overall, understanding I won't have my 20 yr old body, but these back rolls just aren't acceptable. When you love food as much as I do, sticking to a diet is difficult. So, I'm aiming to enjoy tasty treats in moderation and have a great time on my journey to improved health and fitness.

Nutrition:

*To make healthier food choices on a daily basis
*To incorporate meal planning by the week into my regular routine

Fitness:

*To get rid of 'the pouch' and tone my arms and back areas by doing strength exercises on a regular basis

Sharpening the Saw--self rejuvenation:

*To reduce stress by scheduling 'me' time on a regular basis and engaging in activities that I enjoy

*To do more fun and educational activities with my children on a regular basis

My Program:
Belly Dance class weekly

Hit the gym at least 2x week for Zumba and strength training

Walk at least 3 miles per week, including 1 mile at work on lunch break

Biking with the kids at least 1x week

Wii and XBox fitness games (Zumba, Dance Central 2, YSFE, MJ Experience) whenever I can

I don't use a HR monitor..I use the cardio dancing to track zumba, JAM, and hip hop hustle. So you may consider using that. Don't give up! Stick with it!!
