2011 is here and I've started so many new things already. I'm learning and will continue to learn. I never give up on myself and know my failures are part of my success. 2011 is the year to be successful.
Stop being lazy & DO MORE!
Lose 20 lbs by the end of 2011.
Never miss a scheduled workout.
Eat more healthy, vegan home cooked meals.
Make more time for myself & my husband.
Have at least one day off a week.
The exercise program I am currently doing is Power 90 by Tony Horton.
Breakfast: Whole grains, milk substitute, fruit, Shakeology
Lunch: Salad, Vegetables & Rice, Vegetarian/Vegan Protein, whole grains
Dinner: Vegetarian/Vegan Protein and vegetables
2 Snacks: That have protein, fat & carbs.
Drink Water at least 8 8oz a day.

That costume idea sounds adorable, I can just imagine cats running around with little wings on, haha.
I'm still not sure what I want to be! I've got a leftover gypsy costume from last year (figured my gimmick can be reading Tarot, lol) or a female gladiator-type costume! My boyfriend wants to dress up like Leonidas from 300 and I don't want to wear the queen's costume -- I want to fight, too!
I go to Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow ALL the time, haha! I haven't been there for the Headless Horseman event though. I might have to get up there this year since I won't make it to Salem!

This was something I had to learn too, but just so you know it's almost impossible to gain 2 lbs. in one day! To gain a pound you'd have to eat 3,500 calories OVER your daily calorie needs (base metabolic rate x 1.2 if you're sedentary), so unless you had somewhere around 9,000+ calories I think it might just be sodium and water weight on ya!
I can gain and lose five pounds in a normal day, and it's all fluids shifting around. Kind of neat (and gross) when you think about it, haha.
Also: Red velvet is my absolute FAVORITE thing on the planet... yum.
I'm going to go see Alice either Saturday or Sunday. I can't wait!

You are so welcome! I thought I would let you know that as crazy-neurotic as I used to be, I'm totally over it now! No more anxiety or depression meds, no more mental problems (well, aside from normal stress I guess) -- I feel great, and I really attribute it to eating better and regular exercise!
Someone on the message boards here said something like 'if you forget to brush your teeth one day, do you just give up and never brush your teeth ever again?' It was a metaphor for Sparkpeople and the lifestyle change. So you messed up one day -- we all do! But you've got plenty of days left in the REST OF YOUR LIFE to make it up again! That saying really gave me a lot of hope, and I still carry it around with me today.
I keep my stuff public (even my mess-ups) because I like to put out there that you can be a healthy vegetarian on a budget! I don't have a lot of money to spend on food, but I do like to go to Trader Joe's and do the rest of my food shopping at Shop Rite.
No plans for St. Patricks yet. My family usually has corned beef & cabbage, but I make a fake corned beef! I'll have to post the recipe for that when I get a chance. It helps me feel like I'm not missing out, haha.
