    OK, here it is. 4M X4, 3M X1, not too bad. I'm moving forward very slowly with this, because I'm 43 and I find I just get injured more easily than I did 20 years ago, and it seems to take forever to recover. So far, no PF, shin splints, or anything other than some early foot pain that was fixed with proper footwear. How are you doing with injury prevention?
    At any rate, I like that they want you to do a month or more of "pre-training" to make sure you're ready for more.
    Do you have a 10K in mind already? I'm still looking around for one.

    Hey, that's cool that we're hitting some of our goals at the same time! I don't have a formal program. Cool Runnings has one free 10K training program I might do. They want you to spend about a month running 3M dtimes a week and 5M three times a week, first. (Something like that). So I'm spending May just doing about 4.5 mile runs about 5 days a week. I'll find the program and mail you the link. Want to do it (or some other program, doesn't matter) together and check in with each other on our progress? I'd LOVE a training buddy!!!

    Hey, good to hear from you!

    I know of the program. I used C25K on my windows phone. The program gets great reviews and it was a great way to start running. The bridge to 10K app gets very tepid reviews and a few complaints, so I thought I'd look around. The problems seem to be with the app, not the program, though, so maybe I should re-google it and just use the old-fashioned process of looking at my watch to figure out when to start and to stop...
