Tales from my bootcamp called life

Welcome, everybody! We're deep into Spring 2014 and getting ready for Summer. Graduations, birthdays, lots of outdoor play!

Finally got my Supreme Pilates set up again. I'm also bouncing on the mini-trampoline, and 'dabbling' my way through Shaun Thompson's "Focus T25" and "Hip Hop Abs."

My gym issue - picking a new one - still isn't done, since they sold my previous one. But I AM gonna get this done.

These days, so many of us are dealing with serious challenges. Financial, health, family, career. I'm always ready to help share the message that taking care of our fitness does help.

I am hoping for the best for us all, as this year 2014 just keeps chugging along. You hang in there, and do take very good care of yourself.

My Goals:
My fitness shero: Guinness World Champ Mrs. ERNESTINE SHEPHERD, Baltimore, MD, USA.

Fitness goals & plan: Keep mixing my fitness. Hang in and do what's needed and what's fun. Increase stamina and keep dropping fat, inches, and weight.

I enjoy my trusty mini-trampoline, have a BOSU, and set up my Supreme Pilates frame. I enjoy working out with both sides of my BOSU, but especially flat side up - the less stable side.

Still need to use my voucher for FIVE classes with one of my all-time fave kettlebell coaches.


TAPOUTxt is still "on hold" while l do Focus T25 and Hip Hop Abs. Also want to go back for more P90X.

General, functional fitness goal to improve my fitness & sports performance for future sports and other daily challenges!

My Program:
Using my Pilates Supreme frame.

My Yoga Online, and class with Faith Hunter at Embrace DC.

Finish picking new gym

Cardio and strength, 30-90 min/ a day, 5-6 days a week. More workouts or fun activities on Sats-Suns.

Summary: Trampoline, BOSU, rebound boots and kettlebell. Bodyweight, dumbbells, resistance bands, Supreme Pilates, Mailbu Pilates. ump rope and hula hoop.

Personal Information:
I'm a family person who adores fitness and recreational sports. I love sharing this with others.

I'm competitive, first with myself. Going for my personal best is how I play.

Love riding horses, and my husband and I have enjoyed riding together.

My broader fitness Iife includes walking, rollerblading, riding horses and practicing polo, windsurfing, volleyball, skiing, swimming, sailing, and running.

Winter: Ice skating, downhill skiing. Would like to snowshoe and ski cross-country. Winter walks instead of running.

emoticon rebounding also. I bought one 6 years ago. It is wonderful, to get on there, get a workout while also relieving some stress.

Thanks for asking. No, this was our local county's Senior Games with 2,640 participants. State games are in Lee County in December. I'm thinking about participating, but I suspect I'd need to be content to celebrate finishing rather than medaling!! -Marsha
