I am a Christian, happily married, mom to 5, musician, music store employee, clarinet repair tech, and an occasional MK Independent Beauty Consultant. I am busy with changing my sedentary lifestyle to a more active one, eating a healthier diet, and having fun while doing so... time to quit looking at numbers on a scale and to start living life and enjoying it as I make healthy changes for me!

My Goals:
To get to know God in a more intimate way.
To get down to a "normal" BMI.
To "find" myself as I transition from full time mom to an empty nester.
To recapture my dreams and live my life to the fullest.
To be able to run a 5K again.

My Program:
When I started my healthy lifestyle journey my weight was 286 pounds, and I was completely sedentary. Much of the food I was consuming was fast food or packaged prepared foods, and other quick and easy choices. The first thing I did was to cut out most of my fast food consumption. Next I added in drinking more water. Finally I added in exercise to the equation (thanks to Spark Guy and his "you can do 10 minutes" concept) I am now down over 45 pounds. I love the energy I have, and the ability to do so many more things!

I am currently following the Whole 30 food plan. My desire is to jump start my body into healthy eating, to get over some of the illness issues I have with food, and of course, to lose some weight in the process.

    emoticon That we are BACK !!! YEAH !!! Glad to have you back in full swing !! What are ur goals for this challenge,, and how do you plan on making them?

    I WANT to lose the 10 lbs to make my 5% ! I did so for both the Wintah and Spring Challenges. I HAD to stay focused, but instead of emotionally eat,, or over eat just because "it looks good" I needed to take care of. I turned around my thoughts to "If I eat this I WILL NOT Lose the weight ! Am I REALLY hungry or do I just want it?" If it's the "I want such and such" and ONLY that,, it's a craving !! So I have to be into the "If I eat this, it'll just add a pound or ozs" so than I can do something else,, and if I can keep myself distracted off the thoughts of food,,,, it helps out a LOT !
