Finding a Healthier me

I was diagnosed with PCOS in my early 20's. With this came infertility, acne, facial hair, horrible periods and anemia. I got depressed, my emotional eating flared up and I hit my highest weight at 345 pounds in 2006. Over the years I have wobbled and got my weight down to 310 pounds. But that is NOWHERE close to where I want to be and need to be in order to start fertility treatments, reduce my PCOS symptoms and live life exactly how I WANT TO. So here I am, working hard every day, training ...

So here I am, working hard every day, training for my first 5k, married to my best friend, raising 6 furry loves (3 dogs, 1 cat and 2 rats) and doing the best I can each and everyday!!

Quit smoking- Accomplished 10/5/2013

To get below 300 pounds by the end of July 2014- In Progress

Run a 5k- in progress- just signed up for the Color Run in August 2, 2014

To get below 230 pounds in order to take horse riding lessons again- In Progress

To gain muscle definition- in progress

To lose 85 pounds by my big 3-0 cruise in October 2014- In Progress

To get better control over my PCOS- in progress

To buy a bathing suit in June that I feel good in

To get stronger at hikes and increase my mileage this summer-In progress

My Program:
I do yoga 1 day a week for general flexibility and anxiety.

I am eating low carb and high protein- no processed junk

I have started the Couch to 5k running program 3 days a week to prepare for the 5k I signed up for August 2014.

I alternate focusing on different areas with strength training 3 days a week.

Sure hope you are back on your feet soon. Could your PCOS be at the bottom of this weight gain and horrible feelings? Do see a doctor if it continues. I want to congratulate you on over 2 weeks no smoking. It is such a difficult decision to make and I applaud you. I decide tonight if I can really make that switch too. I think I am ready but I am so scared. I have failed so many times. Are you still active on Classy QUitters. I know they will be very excited about your success. Drop by if you get the chance if you are not active now. Keep going on all your accomplishments. You are SO creating the New You!!!!
