In 2008 I lost 50 pounds and was extremely fit I even ran a marathon, yup just over 42 km(26.2 miles) I kept it off for a year or so, then gradually gained 40 back. I said enough already and lost 30 pounds, and then, you guessed it, the scale once again started it's upward climb and I gained 13 pounds back. So 2013 brought a new resolve to lose the weight once and for all, I lost the 13 pounds but here I sit still trying to lose 35 pounds. What am I going to do differently this year? I have hired a personal trainer to get me through the strength training which I keep putting off . I have restarted my running program that a back injury put a halt to last spring, and I have my lovely fit bit (which I have become addicted to) to keep a running total of the calories I my or may not consume and of course my fantastically supportive spark friends.

I live in a small town in the mountains of southern BC Canada. Living in a small town has it's shopping challenges but makes up for it by having amazing outdoor recreation opportunities.

    If you're looking for a challenge and ready to make a commitment....I have the challenge for you!

    Biggest Loser is the name. It's a 10 week commitment with 10 teams of 24 members each. Main requirements are to weigh in each week and do the interteam challenges (ITC's). Our inter team challenges) consist of exercise and nutrition. They are very helpful in losing the weight and inches and it's fun to compete with other teams for points.
