The Final Countdown!

I've been struggling for years with motivation and momentum. I lose 30 lbs and get a little too confident and then one little cheat snowballs into totally going off my plan.

Well, motivation found me and this time it came with a deadline. I real deadline...not a wedding or a cruise or anything like that. My health insurance will be dropping anyone who has a BMI over 35 down from an 80/20 plan to a 70/30 plan!

The insurance company gave us two years to accomplish ...

Well, motivation found me and this time it came with a deadline. I real deadline...not a wedding or a cruise or anything like that. My health insurance will be dropping anyone who has a BMI over 35 down from an 80/20 plan to a 70/30 plan!

The insurance company gave us two years to accomplish this and has provided counseling and other resources to help. I don't blame the insurance company because their expectations aren't too high (35 is still considered overweight) and I am grateful for the kick in the tail.

I decided that I would take on this challenge and try to beat the two year deadline by losing 85 lbs in 1 year! That averages out to less than 2 lbs a week...certainly doable...maybe even FUN!

My Goals:
I need to lose 85lbs by July 1st 2012 to keep my insurance at the 80/20 plan. I am trying to beat that goal by getting there by July 1st 2011. Ultimately I'd like to get down to 135 or 140 but I'm not thinking about that yet.

My Program:
I am counting calories and exercising everyday.

I am currently doing the Couch to 5K program and have been surprised at my ability to run! It's not pretty but it's running!

emoticon Hi there, stopping by the check in on ya. Have your muscle stopped screaming at you from body pump? Sometimes it is hard to figure out where that line is between absolute CRAZY workout vs. "hey I need to PUSH", that IS the journey! Trying to figure out how much your body can do each time you get out there & exercise. It is for me at least. Good luck with your pursuits during the week ahead!
