I have used sparkpeople off and on since Dec 07. I started out at 224, lost down to 201 and now I'm back at 222.lbs. Thanksgiving and Christmas are over and the new year is around the corner. I want to get back in the habit of being accountable for what I eat. I need to get back in the habit of drinking my water. Wish me well!

I'm playing catch up on blog reading and came across your last blog post seeking help with starting. I didn't want to post my reply there but wanted to encourage you to take it one day at a time. I know the feeling both of my parents have passed and I used that to motivate me to want to be here a long time!!! Find at least one thing you want to live your life to the fullest for. You kids, family, YOU, one thing you've always wanted to do, a place you wanted to go. Find some photos and mantras and post them where you can, every where you can to remind you.

Take one thing that will get you closer to your journey to lose 5#s. Example - I'm going to consume X ounces of water a day for this entire week. Focus on that until you're good with it. Then say you'll walk for 5, 10, 15 minutes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 times a week. Add something as you feel comfortable and ready to do so. It takes time and by adding a little change here and there you're not overwhelmed. The best advice I can offer to cope with your moms passing is pray, pray and continue to pray God heals the brokenheart always!
