I'm ready to get my life in shape!
Hello! I'm Kate. I'm a 24-year-old newlywed living in the glamorous Midwest with my husband and our chubby, elderly cat. My Goals:
2011 is going to be the year of getting my life on track! I've felt like a disorganized mess since college and I want to stop. Here are my plans: -Figure out what we're eating for the week at the beginning of each week, and cook accordingly. -Lose my tummy by the summer. (I'm not concerned with numbers on a scale as much as numbers on a measuring tape, and how my clothes fit!) -Do something active every day, whether it's a fitness DVD, going to the gym, swimming, or Just Dance 2 for the Wii. -Every night, clean a little around my house to make sure it stays tidy (and I stay motivated!) -Not eat more than 1500 calories per day. -Save $25 per week. -Keep my sanity and have a life, somehow!
My Program:
I'm using SparkPeople's meal plans as a general guide, though I substitute a lot--but it's amazing how much difference it makes just having to type in everything you eat! I'm also using the Fitness Plan as a general guide, to tell me how many calories/minutes I need to be doing, and suggest exercises for me. Most days I do "Just Sweat" on the Tough Program of Just Dance 2 for Wii. It's fun and really exhausting! I am alternating days of doing Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred DVD. It's super painful so I can't do it every day, but I think it'll get results. I'm using Nutrition Tracker to help me figure out what I need to cut back on. Fortunately, I love vegetables and don't really like meat! If I can just cut back on cheese, I'll be fine... I'm trying to drink more water--I don't always enjoy it so it's kind of a challenge, but my skin looks so much better when I do.
Personal Information:
I'm a 24-year-old graphic designer, both working full-time and running my own small business. I'd love to quit my day job and am working toward that goal. I got married in October of 2010 to my wonderful Jimmy, who I've been with since 2002 (we were just 15!).
Other Information:
I love cooking, reading, writing, animals, art, music, movies, and more or less everything life has to offer (except sports). I'm friendly, so if you need a buddy, feel free to hit me up!
