Shared Fitness Tracker
Hello! I'm Kate. I'm a 24-year-old newlywed living in the glamorous Midwest with my husband and our chubby, elderly cat. I'm a graphic designer, so I spend anywhere from 10-12 hours per day sitting in front of a computer screen. This has resulted in me being a little soft around the middle. I'm tired of my tummy, tired of my constant battle with diet and exercise, and tired of being tired! I wanted to get in shape for my wedding, but the planning was so stressful I never made it happen. Now I'm done with the wedding, through the holidays and ready to start making some serious changes! Wish me luck...
2011 is going to be the year of getting my life on track! I've felt like a disorganized mess since college and I want to stop. Here are my plans:
-Figure out what we're eating for the week at the beginning of each week, and cook accordingly.
-Lose my tummy by the summer. (I'm not concerned with numbers on a scale as much as numbers on a measuring tape, and how my clothes fit!)
-Do something active every day, whether it's a fitness DVD, going to the gym, swimming, or Just Dance 2 for the Wii.
-Every night, clean a little around my house to make sure it stays tidy (and I stay motivated!)
-Not eat more than 1500 calories per day.
-Save $25 per week.
-Keep my sanity and have a life, somehow!
I'm using SparkPeople's meal plans as a general guide, though I substitute a lot--but it's amazing how much difference it makes just having to type in everything you eat!
I'm also using the Fitness Plan as a general guide, to tell me how many calories/minutes I need to be doing, and suggest exercises for me.
Most days I do "Just Sweat" on the Tough Program of Just Dance 2 for Wii. It's fun and really exhausting!
I am alternating days of doing Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred DVD. It's super painful so I can't do it every day, but I think it'll get results.
I'm using Nutrition Tracker to help me figure out what I need to cut back on. Fortunately, I love vegetables and don't really like meat! If I can just cut back on cheese, I'll be fine...
I'm trying to drink more water--I don't always enjoy it so it's kind of a challenge, but my skin looks so much better when I do.
I'm a 24-year-old graphic designer, both working full-time and running my own small business. I'd love to quit my day job and am working toward that goal. I got married in October of 2010 to my wonderful Jimmy, who I've been with since 2002 (we were just 15!).
I love cooking, reading, writing, animals, art, music, movies, and more or less everything life has to offer (except sports). I'm friendly, so if you need a buddy, feel free to hit me up!

I am realy linking it at the moment. I joined it a long time ago but never did much, this time around I did. I started the 28 day bootcamp along with phase 1 on the spark regiment. I cant believe you lost 14 pounds!!! thats awesome!! cant wait till I get there. What do you do for breakfast, lunch and dinner? Id like some tips on improving my meal habits. Healthy snacking is something I have been doing, apples, oranges, trail mix, low fat mozarella string cheese, but meals is something I need to watch out for.
