Live the Present Moment!

Welcome!

Welcome to the Present Moment! May you always live in the present, not dwelling on what happened in the past and not dreaming forever of the future, missing the present. Live the here and now!

We can still have goals, we can still have memories, we can still live in the Present. The idea is to not stay so firmly in one or the other so that you miss out on Today! Stop and smell the flowers - they are beautiful!

My Goals:
I live in hot Texas, am a Catholic Southern girl, married, and we have 5 children of various ages. I would like to be many pounds smaller, in shape, good shape, and be able to take care of my family better. I would like to raise my children to be happy, healthy people, following the customs and traditions of our ancestors.

My Program:
In order to meet my goals, I am currently homeschool my three youngest children, I am active in the Church, and we are trying to take care of my in-laws. I am exercising when I can, and sitting too often at the computer! Update: Both my in-laws died in September 2009, and now we are trying to take care of the estate. The older children are moving in and out at various times, and moving on with their lives, which is good! The younger ones are still at home, trying to grow up.

Personal Information:
I am Jari. Who are you?

Other Information:
Favorite books - most of the ones I have read! I am often at the library - my children consider it one of their second homes, along with Church and gymnastics.
Other things I do: yarn things, like crocheting & knitting, although I'm a beginner at both. Sewing, with a machine usually, and wear mostly homemade clothing. And visit SparkPeople!

Thankyou for your welcome to the living on a shoestring thread.
We're trying to get our kitchen, bath and bedroom done so that we can get moved in and lose the expenses on the other end...it'll also save me almost 3 hours of travel time back and forth every time I go to work on it. I know it'll be so worth it once we get there...it's just surviving the reno...especially since the husband is...well...let's just say, not very handy nor very helpful in other areas like cooking, laundry.
Plus once we get up there, he can start looking for a job in the area...since it's about 60 miles away from where we live now, he's not exactly willing to look too hard. which makes it extra tough.

Thanks for your response on Fly Lady... recently my hubby asked me if my routines were actual HABITS yet...had to think about that...hmm. When I walked into the bedroom this morning I noticed right away the bed hadn't been made yet...so I asked him if that meant making the bed was a habit -- and he admitted that he thought it was!

:) it's the little things sometimes...hope you have a great day!
