Enough is Enough

I'm a 30 something wife, daughter, sister and animal lover. I've been fighting this weight battle for about 9 years and I truly just want to get healthy and happy. My husband and I want to have children but that's not an option at this weight so this time I've met with my doctors to ask for professional help and I'm ready to start a new chapter in my life!

Diet & Nutrition -
Track my food every day - no matter what!!
Excercise -
Walk a 5k in late August or Early September
Do the Couch to 5k or Hal Higdon "Run a 5k" program
Run a 5k in November or December
Incorporate Strength and Flexibility Training once working out regularly

My Program:
I will be following a higher protein, lower carb eating plan (upon my doctor's recommendation) and I am following the Hal Higdon "Walk a 5k" training program to get started

I see you are losing weight and being active on SP with your food & exercise tracking! Good for you! How is your 5k training going?! I just posted a blog, if you want to check it out! I want to encourage you to keep sparking and checking in! Check out the friend feed, it is a nice way to keep track of all the SPF's and it is a way we can encourage each other and keep in touch with what is going on! I post on it everyday!

Hi Kat: Welcome Back- You did the right thing! SP was one of the best things I ever did when I joined 2 years ago! You have everything you need right here at your fingertips and for free! Imagine that! Videos, Nutrition & Fitness Tracker, which I faithfully use everyday! That is very important to use the food tracker-all articles stress the importance of tracking all that you eat. Once you input all of your favorites in, it is a breeze to use. Even the SP phone application is easy to use, if you have a smartphone. Above on your start page is all the links to all on SP, even a Help button if you have technical issues, etc.
I love to walk and on my page I like to blog with video or photograph all I see on my walks around Florida! If you choose, you are welcome to add me as a friend! If so, I will do my best to help you along your way!
