All it takes is a little spark...

I was always very fit during my teenage years and even in the beginning after starting a family. 6 years ago I slacked off the work outs and started working 50 hour weeks. End result - I weighed 200 pounds.

So what does someone do in my situation? I know what I did - I took control of my health, emotional well being and family...and it feels wonderful!!! I have lost 50 pounds and now teach Zumba, enjoy kickboxing, running, hiking and kettlebells!!

Now that I have reached my weight goal it's time to move on to fitness!!! Spartan races and Mud Runs are my next goal. Who says you can't out endure an 18 year old?

Fitness Minutes: 1,474

My Goals:
* Run 5 miles in under 45 minutes or an 8 min/mile
- DONE!!!

* Do more than 5 standard push-ups
- DONE - up to 45 push-ups now : )

* Do at least one pull-up
- Done!

* I want to do a "mini" triathalon this fall.
-DONE!!

*Run in the Ragnar Relay
- April 20th 2012

*Finish the Spartan Beast.
- TBD in October 2012.


My Program:
Starting P90X with my son today April 13, 2009...will let you know in 90 days how this works out...

**update 7/29/10 - this was traded for CrossFit, which is more my style!!

***Eat healthy, small meals every 2-3 hrs

*** cardio 5 x week

***strength train 3 x week

***Give lots of hugs and kisses to my family.

    Hi hun. Sorry you fell off the wagon...I have also but jumped right back on 2 weeks ago. I love how I feel when I workout so don't understand why I fall off the wagon. I am sick of these rolls. lol. Pic on my profile shows me at 163 and I am now 153 so I feel better. My birthday is approaching this month and I promise to at least be under 150lbs so I am jogging daily and trainng for the 5k. I bought the 5k training program for my ipod and train on my early birthday present ( a treadmill) yaay...so now i really have no excuse.

    I'll drop by to check up on u every now and then....I better see that weight pointer pointing to smaller numbers every week.

    I will try to update mine every weekend, which is why mine still reads 154 now.

    I can't wait to show my after pics too.
