Spark People has been a great place for me over the years. Sometimes I have made great use of the resources and other times I've had half hearted attempts. Spark People has been a great place for me over the years. Sometimes I have made great use of the resources and other times I've had half hearted attempts. But it is here for us to use and the fact that we are provided such an awesome resource and tool for free is amazing. We really do have to thank Chris Downey for that.

My motto for this year is "Recover, Heal and Move Forward". This is the year I put myself and my husband completely first. We've been together 25 years and plan to make it at least another 25 if not more. Body, mind and soul are important but so are we as a couple.

When it comes to fitness this year it is all about improving shape, stamina and strength. I don't really care so much about my weight anymore. I've had some ups and downs since I lost it all in 2010 but I am back in my comfortable range and I just want to focus on being healthy and happy. I'll have to get some new pics up soon too. I tend to avoid pictures because I am not very photogenic. I guess I could do neck down pics. LOL!!

-trying one new physical challenge a month
- minimum of 30 very active minutes 3-6 days a week


Personal Information:
I'm 45, married with 3 kids, 2 granddaughters, and 2 grandsons. We don't have pets anymore and it's very sad but we are doing ok.

Hey, gurl! :-D It's been forever and a day since we talked. Send me an e-mail or stop by my page and let me know how you are doing. I went back and read some of your blogs to get a feel where you are at with trying to eat healthier. Glad you are in maintenance. Me? I am finally starting to lose what I had gained back. I'm dealing with carb-bingeing issues. Also, I had a procedure done on my right foot in March to remove three Morton's neuromas and recovery has been brutal. I'm still doing physical therapy for that. If you read the "more about Sage" on my page, it will fill you in. I gained back almost all my weight, but at least I am in the process of losing it once again. For awhile, I was ST-ing. Probably going to do that after I do some cardio DVDs today. Everything depends on my foot, but I should be able to still ST. Anyway, I hope you and your DH are doing well. You're back in Wisconsin if I'm not mistaken, right? Take care, babe. xoxo, Sage
